Bob Lesnefsky is Catholic Rap performer who does great work with Catholic youth.  A graduate of Franciscan University at Steubenville in his early 30s, he performs and records music under the name "Righteous B," and he's been involved in a ton of youth conferences and programs across the country.

Bob unexpectedly suffered a stroke on 9/19/2009 and is just beginning his recovery process as the doctors try to figure out what happened.  His wife and family are requesting prayers for his recovery, and donations are also welcome as Bob is self-employed in his work in service to the Lord.  He is beginning physical therapy and has a long road of recovery ahead.

Welcome Back Everyone!

Come and join us this Saturday night to kick off the 3rd season of Catholic Underground CT. Join us with special guest TIM MARGIOTTA this month to get the season off to a great start! In this stressful, hectic world we live in, come and find peace in the Lord's presence and friendship with fellow Catholics.

Please continue to spread the word about CU/CT to your friends. Last year we saw a record number of people and so many new faces each month! Let's bring in even more for the new season! There is such a hunger for Catholic fellowship among the young adults of Connecticut, and we're glad that so many have found it in Catholic Underground.

Thank you to all of you who join us regularly and semi-regularly and make Catholic Underground CT such an awesome social atmosphere in the presence of the Lord. As always, we ask you to keep this ministry in your prayers.

May God bless each of you!

Welcome to Connecticut Underground! PDF Print E-mail

ConnecticutUnderground.com is the new source for CT's Catholic Young Adult community.

How many times have you looked around at Sunday mass and wondered, "Man, am I the only person in the church under 40?! Are there others like me anywhere?" The answer is: yes there are, many in fact. The problem is we're scattered across the state with a few individuals here or a young adult group there, and no one knows that the others exist or how to find each other. We haven't had a centralized source of community and culture, our community and our culture... until now.

The mission of ConnecticutUnderground.com is to unify the Catholic Young Adult community in CT and to build up our generation within the Church in CT. We have to realize that we are a generation within the Church, not just an overlooked handful of young faces amidst an aging parish, and we have to realize that we are the future of the Church. There are many more of us out there, trying to live the Christian life in a culture so opposed to that life, with no community or support of like-minded people. We're from differing backgrounds with varying pasts and we're each in a different place in our spiritual life, but we're all hungry for something more and it's good to know that there are others in the same boat as us.

ConnecticutUnderground.com was created by a new team of young adults who are committed to build up the our community in the church. We're an independent team brought together by a sense of mission and purpose, under the guidance of the Charismatic Renewal Office. All of us are already tapped into a small but thriving Y.A. community in central CT, but we all remember those days of being "the only one there on Sunday" ...before we knew that there were places to go and things to do and people to hang out with on the weekends that didn't require some degree of moral compromise.

This page is still under construction (as if you didn't already notice that). In the mean time, you can create a user account to take advantage of the Discussion Forum and Events Calender. Also don't miss Catholic Underground this coming Saturday, May 17. Follow the link in the menu above and to your left.
